Christmas is a time to indulge in some classic movie magic. The Market Place Theatre in Armagh is staging a Dementia Friendly Screening of White Christmas (starring showbiz legends, Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) on 21 December at 11am. Support a worthy cause
If you’d like to take a little time out to support a very worthy cause, the GOAL Mile at Polepatrick Park, Magherafelt on Boxing Day (12 - 1pm) is an opportunity to run or walk a mile to raise funds to help people whose lives and livelihoods have been shattered by conflict, disease and climate change.
This year celebrating its 40th anniversary, the GOAL Mile is held throughout December in villages, towns and cities across Ireland and throughout the world and has become a Christmas tradition for thousands of families, with events run by a network of individual and community organisers nationwide.
