Portico Arts & Heritage Centre in Portaferry is the venue for a Carol Service with The Newquay Singers on 23 December (starting at 7pm). his annual candlelit service promises all the best loved congregational carols as well as works by the greatest writers and arrangers of Christmas music. Admission is free but there is a suggested donation of £5.

It's Christmas Storytime at Larne Museum & Arts Centre on 22 December (2 - 3pm). Join this free interactive Christmas themed storytelling session with linked activities and light refreshments! Christmas is a time to indulge in some classic movie magic. The Market Place Theatre in Armagh is staging a Dementia Friendly Screening of White Christmas (starring showbiz legends, Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) on 21 December at 11am. This dementia friendly screening is open to all but has been tailored for people living with dementia. Support a worthy cause

If you’d like to take a little time out to support a very worthy cause, the GOAL Mile at Polepatrick Park, Magherafelt on Boxing Day (12 - 1pm) is an opportunity to run or walk a mile to raise funds to help people whose lives and livelihoods have been shattered by conflict, disease and climate change.

This year celebrating its 40th anniversary, the GOAL Mile is held throughout December in villages, towns and cities across Ireland and throughout the world and has become a Christmas tradition for thousands of families, with events run by a network of individual and community organisers nationwide.
